UPDATE for this year

This group meets in the Callander Library on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from around 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. The 2025 / 2026 session will start on Tuesday, 26th August 2025 and finish on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 but we will have a Christmas break after our meeting on Tuesday 9th December, resuming on 13th January 2026.

We collect £1 from everyone at each meeting to cover costs and please bring your own mug for tea or coffee.

Mahjong is a popular – but quite complicated board game – originating from China. The tiles are exotic and add greatly to the enjoyment of the game. Although in China the game is closely associated with gambling, we play the Western version. Don’t worry if you haven’t played before as we have a beginners’ table, though it will help if you read this Wikipedia article before you come.
